Tom Duncan
Co-Founder / Partner
Tom Duncan is an experienced CEO, board and turnaround advisor with 35 years of hands-on business leadership experience across Europe and Asia, including the last 15 years in Vietnam.
He specialises in working with shareholders, boards and leadership teams to stabilise underperforming businesses, restore profitability, strengthen governance and translate strategy into practical execution.
Tom's experience combines senior corporate leadership with hands-on management of businesses going through periods of significant change. He has worked closely with boards and shareholders in an advisory capacity since 2017, bringing an operator's perspective to board discussions, strategic decision-making, performance management and governance. His strengths include business turnaround, financial and operational performance improvement, board effectiveness, organisational capability, and preparing businesses for their next stage of growth or ownership transition.
Tom's approach is practical and execution-focused. Rather than producing lengthy theoretical recommendations, he works alongside boards and leadership teams to identify the critical issues, establish clear priorities and put in place the management disciplines, accountability and governance required to deliver sustainable improvement. Having spent the last 15 years leading businesses in Vietnam, Tom brings extensive experience of operating in the market and understands the practical challenges of translating shareholder expectations and international business standards into effective local execution.
Through CAMTD, Tom works primarily with private equity investors, shareholders, boards and CEOs where a business requires improved performance, stronger governance, more effective execution or a structured turnaround.
